What is a device group and how is it used?

A device group is a collection of devices on your network that all have common characteristics. When you define a group, you can apply the same protection to all the devices without the need to update the settings for each device individually. You can also send messages or apply updates to all the devices in a single group, without impacting devices in other groups.

If you could add a feature that could allow to dynamically assign computers to groups (e.g. based on IP address, computer name, OS or other criteria) it would be an awesome feature!

Hello, You can filter the device list based on OS or sort it by computer name. You can submit the feature request of it automatically grouping in the feature request forums, if you would like, for others to vote on it. Thanks, Michael P. AVAST Business Support Team
