Website Blocking

This video demonstrates how to use the cloud portal to block access to websites.  You can use either a complete URL or URL keyword.  When using a keyword for the URL, please place the keyword between wildcards (asterisks), like *facebook*.

    Hello Amy,

You can add the sites as HTTPS to the site blocking, but by default (if not specified) it will synchronize them as HTTP.

    Thanks,

I've been trying to block websites with this method but it just doesn't sync my settings template with the clients. If I configure the web shield in a client it works nice, but they just don't sync with my template.

Update: If I add *facebook* as a rule it blocks any website containing facebook in its URL, however, it's not blocking facebook.com, or any Facebook site. Any ideas?

Update 2: I noticed that adding *facebook* on my template syncs on my client like this: https://*facebook*, but if I add *facebook* on the client it stands just like *facebook*. is it a bug or something?

Update 3: Decided to add a lot of facebook URLs, then I noticed adding facebook.com it syncs like http://facebook.com. So I had to add the whole list again but adding https://. A mess, but it worked.

Update 4: Today I realized my users were on facebook, so I went to their computers and there aren't any  blocked URLs in their Avast clients, in fact the website blocker isn't even activated on any of them. This feature is entirely broken isn't it?

Update 5: It suddenly started to work. I hope it won't fail now.
